Washington, DC,
October 2, 1998 -- In response to relentless growth in the scale and
complexity of global chemical testing and regulatory matters, Markus W. Brombacher
announced today the formation of a new environmental regulatory consultancy called INREX,
L.L.C. ("INREX"). Mr. Brombacher, a former environmental consultant with the
Washington, DC office of the McKenna & Cuneo, LLP law firm, will act as the company's
President and will continue to counsel international and domestic chemical companies and
the legal community on international environmental regulation and data compensation
claims.
"Today's pesticide
chemical industry is characterized by increasing consolidation and global orientation, and
by the rapid expansion of basic pesticide producers into generic markets. These new market
alignments have a significant impact on global regulatory requirements, and companies must
pay careful attention to the status of their pesticide registrations, as well as data
protection and data compensation implications. INREX is uniquely equipped to counsel the
pesticide chemical industry on these complex issues," observes Mr. Brombacher.
Lynn Bergeson, a noted
environmental attorney states, "Markus is an expert at untangling the web of complex
international environmental regulations. His extensive network of contacts in the European
Union, Asia and India and language skills make him uniquely qualified to counsel companies
in these challenging areas." Bergeson is the principal shareholder of Bergeson &
Campbell, P.C., a law firm that focuses exclusively on pesticide and chemical product
approval and regulation and in environmental, health and safety, and associated business
issues.
